Icons party: Jared Leto, Julia Fox more hit star-studded Harper's Bazaar, Bloomingdale's event – USA TODAY

NEW YORK — Is that who I think it is?
The question pops up as, yes indeed, it’s Jared Leto snapping pictures with everyone who comes up to him. It happens again as Alicia Silverstone laughs and takes pictures with designer Christian Siriano; as “Euphoria” star Angus Cloud is deep in conversation by the upstairs bar; and as actress and viral vixen Julia Fox squeezes through the crowd in what looks like a dress made of plastic wrap.
Celebrities came out in droves Friday night for the Harper’s Bazaar annual Icons party, this year celebrating the 150th anniversary of Bloomingdale’s and held at the famed department store’s location in uptown Manhattan.
The festivities wrapped up the first official day of New York Fashion Week, which saw fashion shows and presentations from Fendi, Kate Spade, Proenza Schouler and Fe Noel.

Spotted through the night was an endless stream of big names, from Hollywood A-listers and social media stars to NBA players, designers and musicians: Drew Barrymore, Heidi Klum and daughter Leni, Jay Ellis, Dove Cameron, Ilana Glazer, Shay Mitchell, Evan Mock, Jordan Clarkson, Kyle Kuzma, Emily Ratajkowski, Ziwe, Sergio Hudson, Tommy Hilfiger, PJ Tucker, Lana Condor, Lauren Jauregui and many more.
Across the street from the landmark storefront, onlookers lined Lexington Avenue to catch a glimpse of the aforementioned stars. Once inside the threshold and away from the screaming fans and bright lights of the red carpet, partygoers were escorted through the store and up an escalator into a neon-lit room, with mannequins and racks replaced with arcade games, bars and a stage setup.
DJ Drama spun Top 100 hits before making way for Jack Harlow to hit the stage in front of a sardine-packed house. The charismatic young rapper performed abbreviated versions of some of his biggest hits and features, including “What’s Poppin,” his verse on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby,” “Best Friends” and his summer smash hit “First Class” (in the crowd, TikTok star Tinx scream-sings along to one of the song’s more NSFW lyrics).
Plenty of booze flowed, while waitstaff passed around sliders, fries, mini lobster rolls and ice cream throughout the night. In true New York fashion, there was a newsstand filled with copies of all the Icons issue covers of Harper’s Bazaar, plus treats like candy and chips. Cookies from Russ and Daughters and a pizza truck were waiting for attendees as they exited the event at the end of the night.
Celebs mingled with hundreds (yes, hundreds) of guests, including New York’s elite, fashion editors and more throughout the night in the two-floor setup of the legacy department store.
June Ambrose sashayed her way into the party, giving a twirl in a bright chartreuse gown for an iPhone camera chronicling her entrance. Fox made her way through the crowd ahead of Harlow’s performance, munching on a snack. Social media stars Rickey Thompson and Denzel Dion were spotted kiking on their way to the escalator.
But perhaps the question that defined the controlled chaos of the night was when Harlow asked on stage, “Why are the bathrooms so packed?” Only in a room full of icons.
